Looking for more movies featuring women who are complete badasses? Well, this list is just for you! There are so many bad bitch movies available, belonging to different genres, that will awaken the baddie within YOU. So, without further ado, here are 5 more badass women movies to watch!

Ocean’s 8

Review: 'Ocean's 8' Women Walk Away With a Male Franchise. Sort Of. - The New York Times
Warner Bros.

I’ll never get bored of watching Ocean’s 8, and I believe it’s the only Ocean film worth seeing out of the entire franchise. Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) assembles a special squad of seven women, each specialising in a different part of the heist – all in an effort to steal a diamond necklace worth $150 million at the Met Gala. It’s a film worth seeing, and there’s Rihanna in it, so I don’t have to convince you twice.

Arrival

Review: Aliens Drop Anchor in 'Arrival,' but What Are Their Intentions? - The New York Times
Paramount

Arrival is one of those sci-fi movies where you have to set aside time to fully immerse yourself in the storyline in order to fully get it – but once you do, you’ll see that it’s well worth it. The film follows Louise Banks, a linguistics specialist, and her team as they attempt to decipher the language of aliens who have arrived on Earth aboard a mystery spaceship. A woman talking to an alien and deciphering its language sure is a baddie – and Amy Adams knows how to perfectly portray that.

Divergent

The “Divergent” Rape Scene: Here's Why It Matters | by Peyton Thomas | Medium
Summit Entertainment

There was a time when dystopian films were quite popular in theatres, and among them was the trilogy that make up the Divergent series. Imagine having to select a faction, once you’ve come of age, in the hope of discovering your actual self while being away from your family… only to discover you don’t fit in with any of the factions founded. Only Tris, the lead character played by Shailene Woodley, knows how to overcome this. From a frail adolescent to a courageous woman, Tris will motivate you to get stronger (while ogling Four, obvi).

The Divergent series is currently available on Netflix.

The Hunger Games Franchise

Lionsgate

Without a doubt, one of the greatest dystopian film franchises of all time, receiving acclaim from all corners of the globe. It’s a movie franchise that motivated young girls to take up archery and learn how to use a bow and arrow – and it’s all thanks to Katniss Everdeen. The first in the series is a groundbreaking film that not only addresses the subject of capitalism and elitism in society, but also the need for standing up for what’s right, while caring for your family. Katniss Everdeen inspires girls to be tough and to act strong, despite not having enough faith in yourself.

The Hunger Games series is currently available on Netflix.

The Handmaid’s Tale

The Handmaid's Tale Season 3 Could Be So Much Better | Time
Hulu

The Handmaid’s Tale is an extraordinary series from the award-winning eponymous book by Margaret Atwood. While the novel is vivid in its own right, the series does not hold back in depicting the full agony of being a handmaid in Gilead. June Osborne (Elisabeth Moss) is kidnapped and forced to serve as a Gileadan officer’s concubine. She struggles for her life and plots an escape with a band of other handmaids in the hope of reuniting with her family. The series has had four seasons so far, with the fifth set to premiere in 2022.
