Sex with robots could be a thing!
According to a poll, getting intimate with a “sexbot” appeals to more than one in six of us.
Nearly a third of people had no problem with the idea of other people enjoying android sex. However, four in 10 of us do feel it’s kind of creepy.
On the other hand, millions of people are getting scared of robots.
Watching the human race being replaced by machines is a fear for a third of us. Almost as many worry we could lose our jobs to these machines.
“Though many fear their jobs will be taken over by machines, it is more likely that robots will be used as assistants,” said Martin Smith, professor of robotics at the University of Middlesex.
“The future workforce could have the benefit of avoiding hazardous and repetitive tasks rather than suffer mass redundancies.”
The poll was commissioned for Almost Human starting on the UKTV channel Watch on May 6.
