Should you update your wardrobe for the new season? Well, before you rush out and spend money buying up a whole store, find out what the key trends for the upcoming spring/summer season are!

1. Loud Floral Prints

Bold prints may have ruled the 2013 fashion trend throughout the year, but this season pays more attention to floral hues and shapes in the fabric. Whether it’s arty feminine or edgy, pay homage to flora on your skirts!

2. Collared Shirts

Keeping it simple and clean, the classic collared shirt is making its way back into 2014 for understated style. Whether it’s tailored white, or something you nabbed off your boyfriend’s closet, the button-down shirt is the way to go this season.

3. Fringes

Fashion inspired by the swinging 60s is making its way back into the fashion scene and it’s not being subtle. The fringe, commonly seen on bags and the sleeves of jackets before, are now making their return on dresses, and more, giving the entire look more fluidity and care-free uncertainties.

4. Mixed Metallic Hues

If you really want to steal the show, this is where intense sparkle is absolutely appropriate. Stick to one hue and keep make-up minimal to avoid looking too festive.

5. Pink Fondant

Pastel once again makes its way into the Spring/Summer 2014, but this time with a hint of feminity. If ultra-sweet isn’t what you’re after, stick to structured cuts and minimalist design to come off less girly.
