South Korea Steps Up Against Human Flesh Capsules

CNN Breaking News have reported that South Korean custom officials are clamping down on an extremely stomach-churning operation. Apparently, for a long time now, there’s a place in China that was selling pills which are taken by people who believe they may help increase stamina, for rejuvenation, or by terminal cancer patients.

All was fine and dandy until a Korean television documentary, “Lee Yeong-don’s Food X File” uncovered the truth behind this “medicinal wonder” and discovered that not only were the pills made out of dead babies but also the fact that the source of these pills was from a hospital that sells dead babies, mostly abortions or stillbirths, to medicine companies.

It seems that when the hospital has a “deceased baby case”, the staff is required to immediately alert the medicine company. The medicine company will then store the dead babies in a “normal family’s refrigerator” and when needed, they will put it into a medical drying microwave. Once that process is done, they grind the dead baby up and put the powder into a pill capsule.

Recently, 29 smugglers of this unthinkable “medicinal practice” aka “human flesh capsules” have been arrested after trying to smuggle 11,000 pills into South Korea from China while disguised as tourists. A Korean Customs Service official said, “Some put herbs together in the capsules so that customs agents cannot distinguish the unique smell and colour of the human flesh capsules. Other put the capsules in medicine containers to deceive inspectors.”

And it seems that more than 35 cases and more than 17,000 pills have been found by customs authorities since August 2011.

Ugh.
