Watching Comedy Central with friends is one of the best ways to spend our free time, especially when Russell Peters appears on the screen. Everyone — and we mean everyone — knows his comedy routine by heart, including his (dad’s) famous quote, “Somebody’s gonna get a hurt real bad.”

Fortunately, if you really want a good laugh, Comedy Central is returning to Malaysia with a brand new season of Comedy Central Stand Up, Asia!, featuring 16 Asian comedians from around the region who will celebrate Asian sensibilities.. or lack thereof.

The best of Asian stand-up comics are out in full force and they are more than ready to take over. Pulling no punches, Comedy Central Stand Up Asia will be filmed in front of a live audience at HGH Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur on 13 and 14 July 2017. Meanwhile, the show will be aired as a 10 episode series on Comedy Central, scheduled to premiere on 22 Aug 2017.

Talents include Imran Yusuf (UK), Paul Ogata (US/Japan), Elliot Chang (US), Papa CJ (India), Garron Chiu (Hong Kong), Alex Calleja (Philippines), Dilruk Jayashina (Sri Lanka/Aus), Sharul Chana (SG) as well as Malaysia’s very own doctor-turned-comedian Jason Leong.

Get hooked on these Asian comedians whilst they school you on how unexpected life can be! Visit Comedy Central Asia or Facebook if you’d like to know more.
