It’s Never Okay For A Man To Remove The Condom During Sex Without Your Consent

Documented by the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law, there’s a disturbing sex trend on the rise and it’s beyond dangerous. Nothing sexy going on here.

Coined as “stealthing”, the action involves a man secretly removing his condom during intercourse and is a form of sexual assault. What’s more troubling is that men do convince other men to “stealth” their partners to “spread one’s seed.”

This act of sexual violence not only leaves a victim at risk of pregnancy or STIs, it results in the physical and emotional distress caused by other more common destructive sex acts.

Though the “rape-adjacent” act hasn’t necessarily been covered in existing laws across the world, let’s not overlook the fact that a Swiss court convicted a man of rape for taking off his condom mid-sex without informing his partner in January 2017.

If you’ve ever been stealthed and have felt violated, make it known.
