It seems like it won’t be that long before powdered alcohol, which will be approved by federal regulators, hit the stores.
In case you’re wondering this powder form alcohol is called Palcohol and is basically freeze-dried alcohol that will be sold in a pouch. Palcohol comes in a few different flavours and it’s a simple as mixing the powder with some water to concoct your own alcoholic drink.
According to Time, Palcohol is also meant to be relatively healthy and one pound consists of approximately 80 calories and is also gluten free. Prices are still being determined for now.

The person who invented Palcohol, Mark Phillips said that it will very useful for events when one would prefer not to be lugging around large and heavy bottles.
While this may be good news, there are worries that minors might try and sneak the powder in to public places or even use it to spike other’s drinks. There are also issues of kids not understanding the potency of Palcohol and snorting it.
According to a statement made by Lipsmark, the company that owns Palcohol, if everything goes according to plan, the product will be available as soon as summer comes.
