Hard Rock International will open Hard Rock Cafe Kota Kinabalu – its first Hard Rock Cafe in East Malaysia – in April 2015. Located in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of the Malaysian state of Sabah, the much-anticipated opening will breathe a fresh burst of the brand’s legendary rock and roll energy in the city’s vibrant restaurant and entertainment scene.
Hard Rock’s own Memorabilia Designer, Giovanni Taliaferro was on hand to elaborate on the more interesting aspects of some of the pieces going on display said, “Shown for the first time, the Hard Hat Tour showcases the role of memorabilia in creating an impact for the artists with their music on the international scene, fans who will have the opportunity of viewing it up close, and the Hard Rock Cafe experience that offers all of this along with our legendary food and cocktails”.
Visitors to Hard Rock Cafe Kota Kinabalu will be treated to over 114 sets of permanent memorabilia including Jesse Carmichael of Maroon 5’s Fender Stratocaster guitar; Rihanna’s Black and White “Boy” outfit; Gene Simmons of KISS’ Silver Chrome G.S. Cort Punisher guitar, Slash’s top hat, Vivian Campbell of Whitesnake’s Blue Kramer Pacer guitar; and many more.
