Now, that’s the meaning of ohana ( if you don’t already know, it means family) in its truest form! This 24-year-old beautiful soul of a woman carries her grandmother every day on her way back from work. It’s her way of repaying her elderly grandmother for all the kindness and hospitality she had bestowed to Huang Lihua when she was a kid.
Both her parents worked at the time, which is why she ended up living with her grandmother Wan Zongsiu, who is now 88.
Loads of people questioned Lihua if it was a difficult thing to leave the city, only to move to the countryside with her grandmother, and all she said the experience was “one of the happiest of my life.”
Eventually she returned to go back to school and moved home, which was in the city with her parents. After school, she worked in the Guangdong province in south-eastern China and earned herself sufficient amount of money to start her own business, a fast food restaurant that’s located in the city.
Even with her success, Lihua was not quick to forget her grandmother, so she started taking her along to work each day.
She has my vote for being the best granddaughter ever!
