Over 1000 fans of legendary musician Nile Rodgers and his band Chic, gathered in KL LIVE for his performance here in Kuala Lumpur for a night of groove and electrifying disco music held on December 4.
The disco icons performed to an enthusiastic crowd who were elated to watch the legendary musician groove throughout the hour and a half show. He performed his famous hits which had fans from across all ages singing and dancing through every song in his set.
The band played their chart-topping hits such as ‘Le Freak’, ‘Good Times’, ‘Everybody Dance’ and ‘I Want Your Love’. As the first strings of ‘Le Freak’ were strummed, fans started chanting “freak out!”. The song had fans wild and gleeful with recognition of this famous 70s chart topper.
Not wanting to miss out on the action, international fans from Thailand and Indonesia also flew into Kuala Lumpur to witness the musical legend perform live.
Just before his live performance, Rodgers had a short session with the Red Bull Music Academy to share his vast knowledge and experience in music.
Organized by Livescape Asia, The “Chic featuring Nile Rodgers” show was an entertaining night for all as the charismatic performer brought the house down with his groove and disco music to a crowd of all ages.
