British brand Cath Kidston will open its first store in Malaysia late next month. Popular for its vintage-style and cheerful floral prints, the store will be unveiled at Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur and will span across 110 square meters. Customers can expect the latest in Cath Kidston’s collections of accessories, bags, fashion, homeware and childrenswear.
The brand was established in 1993 and had its first ever store in London’s famous area of Notting Hill. Named after founder and designer Cath Kidston, the first offerings were vintage fabrics, wallpapers and brightly-painted junk furniture inspired by Cath’s childhood. The brand grew and become more popular as Cath started to design her own prints and products that combined old-fashioned, classic prints with a modern feel. Now, customers and fans of the brand can find anything from accessories, homeware, clothes, and kid’s collections that was launched in 2008.
“We are excited to debut this charming British brand in Malaysia as we know it has many fans in the country. Cath Kidston’s design sensibility will also entice new lovers who will be taken by its marriage of memorable prints into practical and durable products,” said Mr. Anders Peter Juel Sauerbrg, Director of Norbreeze Group. This year also marks the brand’s 20th anniversary and the flagship store is said to have a concept of ‘home of modern vintage’ – we can’t wait for the store to be opened!
The first Cath Kidston store will be located at Lot G-011, Ground Floor, Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur.
