Our eyebrows essentially frame our faces but it can be a tricky art to maneuver ourselves. We all want to appear more awake, groomed and look like we have bigger eyes so here is a simple guide on how to do them the right way.
Decipher
You don’t want to detract from your natural brow shape as that is what will frame your face best and look most natural. Combing your eyebrows upwards will reveal your natural arch.
Groom:
Once you’ve combed your brows, trim the hairs that go over your top brow line. Pluck the ones that grow under the bottom brow line. Take your eyebrow pencil and place it vertically alongside your nose, the point where the pencil hits your brow is where it should start, remove any hairs which exceed this point.
Now line the pencil up diagonally with the outer edge of your eye and the outer edge of your nose, this is where your brow should end so pluck any hairs that are growing past this point. To ensure that you aren’t being too drastic with shaping your brows, use the same pencil again and line up the tip of your nose to your pupil (make sure you are looking straight), the point at which the pencil hits your brow should be the highest point (i.e. the arch). Now your brows are groomed and starting to come together!

Define
Now you can fill in any gaps between the hairs with either an eyeshadow or a brow pencil. Remember your brows are meant to be two tones darker than your hair colour so don’t go too dark nor too light because either could end up looking scary!
Set: After filling in your brows ad desired, comb through them once again to ensure the most natural look possible. Use a clear mascara or a brow gel to go over and set your brows so they stay in place all day and you are good to go!
