Several pictures of a car skidded into the divider near a traffic lights in Rawang were shared online yesterday. A man died on the spot after being gunned down by four men on motorbikes at close range at the traffic lights in front of Tesco Rawang, Taman Setia Rawang.
According to our source, Gombak police chief ACP Abdul Rahim Abdullah said the four men on red Yamaha LC motorbikes had approached the victim’s car before one of the pillion riders opened fire.
The incident happened around 4pm yesterday and six 9mm Luger bullet casings found 50 metres from the victim’s car, he said.
“The victim’s car skidded onto the divider near the traffic lights. The suspects, wearing black jackets and helmets took off towards Selayang.”
Abdul Rahim said the motive for the shooting is yet to be determined but the victim died after being hit on the chest, the right shoulder and below his right ear.
