Plan on giving your Christmas decorations at home a bit of a personal touch. Custom-made Glass Ornaments

Give your Christmas tree a personalized upgrade by getting a box of clear glass ornaments and using your creativity to decorate them as you will. Stuff some popcorns, peacock feathers, or even paint it. Use ModPodge and coat it in multi-colored beads or glitter. It’ll certainly get your guests talking, and who knows? You can even make extras and give them away as gifts!

Fridge Magnet Ornaments

Decorate your fridge at home with a little extra festive delights by gathering a couple Christmas tree ornaments, and glue a piece of magnet on it. Let the glue dry against the surface of the ornament for an hour, and then stick them on your fridge. The glitzier, the better!

Christmas Book Tree

Got a little too many books that are could be useful as decor instead? Well, just grab about 20 of your books (just make sure you don’t really intend to read them for the next 10 days) and open them up from the centre. Get a variety of sizes, starting the largest at the bottom. Stack them up carefully like in the picture, then wrap around some beaded chains or Christmas lights around it to give it some pizzazz! Make a star out of paper, glue it to a pencil and secure it neatly onto the last book with a piece of sticky tack! Perfect for the earth-conscious, budget couple!

Macaroni Snowflakes

If you can’t find your own snowflakes, you can make some of your own using wheel-shaped pastas! Assemble them into hexagonal shapes on a tray to get the shape of the snowflake first, then glue the pieces together. Let  the glue dry then, hang them up on the tree, or even as extra decor around the dining table.

Toilet-roll Reindeers

This is absolutely fun for the kids, and can even double up as party favors or finger puppets. Cut toilet-rolls in half and glue over a piece of brown fabric or felt. Glue on some googley-eyes, a red pin for the nose, and fuzzy brown string curled to replicate their antlers.

Festive Christmas Frames

Re-use your old wooden picture frames by giving it a new coat of paint, and tie up some festive ornaments and ribbons around it. Use anything that you can find and if all else fails, gold glitter will come to the rescue!
