In the brand’s effort to inspire and educate young women on feminine care, Kotex were on the lookout for the “Kotex Fresh Confident Girl Search”. Subsequent to the overwhelming response to the contest, 30 finalists participated in the exclusive Kotex Fresh Boot Camp, where they took part in a series of workshops and activities designed to help strengthen confidence among the girls.
Over the duration of the Camp, held in Club Med Cherating, the girls were guided through topics such as grooming, health V-Zone/personal hygiene, relationships and careers by experienced trainers.
Nur Zaireen binti Mohd Zait, 18, emerged as the girl who best embodies the qualities of a Kotex Fresh Confident Girl, winning the Grand Prize of RM5,000 and a year-long supply of Kotex pads and liners. Norain binti Abdulla and Teh Mei Yi came in second and third place, winning RM4,000 and RM3,000 respectively, plus a year’s worth of Kotex pads and liners too! The remaining 27 finalists walked away with RM1,000 each.
The winners were judged according to the improvement in their overall confidence level at the end of the camp. They are evaluated on qualities like how well they mix with others, maintain eye contact while interacting, and being able to admit weaknesses or mistakes.
