I always wonder what meeting my soulmate would feel like? Would I have an instant connection? Will time stop? Will my heartbeat rate increase? Will our eyes meet?… What? If you think this is too dramatic, well then, you should know I am a drama queen. All those years of watching Korean dramas is finally taking its toll. But that’s life, honey! Dreams do come true, so keep dreaming, love!
Okay – let’s be serious for a sec here. There’s gotta be some sort of sign that appears when you finally meet The One. Humans have a spiritual level of connection that allows our intuition to react when we bond with someone on a deeper level. When this happens, you may come across signs that tell you THIS IS YOUR FUTURE SOMEONE. It could be somebody you already have a relationship with, it may be someone you have met on occasion, or it could be a completely random stranger that you might have only met once in your entire life.
It could work in any situation and at any time, but if you happen to notice these things simultaneously taking place while engaging with someone, you might wanna pay more attention to that person. So, what exactly are these signs?
1. Your Intuition Alarm Goes Off
Listen, darling. You may have the weakest intuition ever, but when the right time comes, it will definitely speak louder than your words. It’s the strong gut feeling that tells you “Oh yeah, he’s the one”. The tricky part is, you won’t seem to understand why. You can’t really offer a logical explanation for what you’re feeling at the moment. Things like these are more enjoyable when there’s no reasoning behind it. The best thing to do is to just go with the flow – and life will guide you to where you need to go.
2. An Unexplainable Connection
We all have a friend that we have a strong connection with. You know what I mean, gurl. Yo bish could be standing at the other end of the room, and when your eyes meet, you’ll have the sudden urge to just burst out laughing for absolutely no reason. That is the type of connection you will have with this person. For some reason, you and this person may like and hate the same things, or you have a common interest that always sparks your conversations.
So, if you have a “friend” who you always look forward to receiving calls and messages from, and you just feel different around them, maybe you should start looking more deeply into that “friendship”, hun.
3. You Start Seeing Things From A Different Angle
If your friend is in love, you will notice this sudden change in their behavior. That grumpy a$$ grandma is all of a sudden a happy and joyful princess. As much as you hate that side of her, this sudden shift tends to happen quite naturally. When you engage with your soulmate – be it intentionally or unintentionally – you start feeling happier and more content. You’ll start randomly smiling and giggling, without even knowing the reason. Like, your friend might be choking to death and you could still be skipping around like a bloody 5 year old, thinking of that person. How would I know? Because I’ve done it before. It’s true what they say, you know – love does make you go blind!
That certain someone who has this effect on you is definitely not just some mere acquaintance.
4. It Could Be The Worst Day Ever
Life is not a Disney movie where everything happens in perfect sequence, on a gorgeous day. F*ck no. You most probably will meet your soulmate on the worst day possible. For instance, you could be running to catch the train, you’re sweating, you smell filthy and bam! – you bump into a gorgeous person. Not just anyone, but THE person. Or, you could also meet your soulmate when you fall embarrassingly on the side of the road, and a certain someone comes to save your day.
What I’m trying to say is, the chances of you meeting your soulmate in a stunning evening dress with the perfect makeup is low – not impossible, but also not likely to happen. In most cases, your soulmate will see you in your clumsiest state and say: “Wow, she’s beautiful”. That’s when you know that the person is probably linked to you in some way.
5. Utmost Comfortability
If you’ve known this person for quite some time, you’ll feel a huge sense of comfort when you’re around them. For some people, feeling comfortable around someone doesn’t just happen randomly, it takes a lot for them to ease into their presence. So, if you’re anything like this, and yet you feel so relaxed, secure and safe around this person, bingo baby – that’s the one.
Especially for girls – it takes a special man to make us feel warm and pleasant. Not every man can be a security blanket for us, some just have more d*ck power than brain power and genuinely make us wanna run.
And then, there’s that one person you met only once and had small talk with – but with whom you felt the safest you’ve ever felt. Trust me, somewhere down the road, you’ll meet again and things will be different then – a good kinda different.
6. Rainy Days
Again, this could just be my imagination, but weird and splendid things tend to happen when the rain is pouring. You never know who you’ll crash into on a rainy day, because rain just sets the perfect mood for romance. Rainy Friday evenings, after office hours, are the ideal time for you to have a meal with that person who gives you butterflies in your tummy.
Or, the chances of you coming across your soulmate on a random Wednesday when it’s pouring cats and dogs, could totes happen.
Life is truly unpredictable and it tends to surprise you in the most random ways. So, just keep an eye out, love. The moment you meet your soulmate will be an unforgettable one that you’ll cherish for the rest of your life.
