I’m absolutely sure everyone is super excited about the upcoming and HIGHLY-anticipated Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’s been the talk of the town for the past few weeks since Sony dropped it’s official trailer three weeks ago. We all can’t wait to see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man swing through Manhattan with MJ, played by the lovely Zendaya, sticking (get it?) by his side.

It seems like the on-screen, and now off-screen, couple has been showing a lot of “sticking” together, even before their movie’s premiere, and you have to admit, it’s super adorbs!
Tom Holland and Zendaya have been very candid about their relationship, especially during their recent appearance on the Graham Norton Show. They discuss a lot of things – from Zendaya’s rise to fame, to Tom Holland’s continued lack of a zipper on his Spider-Man suit. But what was really interesting was the talk regarding their stark height differences.

It’s pretty clear that Zendaya is quite taller than Tom, which makes the couple more charming, in my opinion. And it shines a light on relationships out there in which there is a massive height difference, with the males being the shorter ones. Men have their own beauty standards that they have to achieve in order to look more appealing in the eyes of society, much like women.
Being tall is what is expected of men, especially if they wish to be in a relationship. This whole idea of men having to be taller than their female partners is so outdated, and further reinforces toxic masculinity, which dictates that men should be big and muscular to appeal to women.
Hello! That should not be the case here, people!
Tom and Zendaya ultimately break that stereotype. The fact that they did not even address the issue until appearing on the show further proves that it shouldn’t matter in the first place.
So, short kings out there, don’t feel down. Your time will surely come. There are gals who will appreciate your entire being, rather than just your height (or lack thereof).
Ps – Get your tickets to see Spider-Man: No Way Home this 15th December at a cinema near you!
