If we could, we’d bathe our whole self in highlighter everyday for a head-to-toe glow; the more glaring, the better. But unfortunately, that would seem highly uncalled for in real work/life situations, so we’re now settling for Instagram‘s latest trend, the ear highlighter, also dubbed as the lobe strobe, to do the trick.
On top of applying highlighter on the highest points of the cheeks, the bridge of the nose, along the cupid’s bow and under the brow bones, makeup artists have been sweeping highlighter on the protruding bone structure on the ears to make them pop. Seems a little extra, but damn, it looks bomb.

Many makeup artists are becoming more open to the idea, but a lot of them have alluded YouTube star Bretman Rock for the trick, and a model called Miski (also @musegold on Instagram) says, “Bretman Rock does it on his Snapchat, and I was like, ‘Oh my God. I can take my highlighting game to the next level.”
