Malaysian pride and joy astronaut Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor just turned 45 years old yesterday, but instead of celebrating just one occasion, his family is rejoicing with two!
His wife Dr Halina Mohd Yunos also welcomed the couple’s twin boys into the world on the same day, which he announced on his Facebook page.
“Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. Alhamdulillah, the twins decided to come out today too. We are blessed with two boys born today at 10.05am, a few minutes apart,” said Dr Sheikh Muszaphar.
The couple have two other daughters Sophea Isabella and Sophea Natasha. Dr Sheikh Muszaphar embarked on a mission to space on October 11 2017 and came back down to earth after 11 days after a stint on the International Space Station.
