In case you haven’t heard, feather brows are like, so hot right now.

Finnish makeup artist Stella Sironen invented “feather brows” and posted in on Instagram with a lovely caption that credited her muse. The image has since garnered over 44,000 likes and counting on Instagram.

But as it turns out, the makeup artist was just fooling around when she posted about the “trend” she was starting. But no one seemed to get the humor and actually took her seriously. So now #featherbrows is trending on Instagram with a vengeance.

The brows take on a feathery look from their parted-down-the-middle styling, which requires a glue stick to achieve the affect. Yep, a glue stick. Not so sure how she washed that off but, yeah.

I'm no @stella.s.makeup but I had to give this #featherbrows look a go. Honestly I know she was having a joke but for real this is great. Just a quick few brushes with a clear brow gel to separate and hold and added some gold ✨ my brows are particularly thick, so much so that the hairs just don't like to bend any other way so it didn't work out too well for me. Used @jeffreestarcosmetics Androgyny palette for the eye.

In a second posting on Instagram two days later, Stella wrote, “note to self: when u make a joke about starting a funny brow trend people will take it seriously and…well. start the trend.”

As far as beauty trends go, this one’s a pretty mild one. Stuff like succulent-inspired nails and swapping makeup products for food products have taken over the scene before and the feather brows seem tame (geddit, geddit?).

Not so sure how difficult it is to remove glue from your super fine and tender eyebrow hairs but we’re not jumping the gun on trying this trend out anytime soon. Would you try the #featherbrows trend out? Sound off in the comments below!
