Christmas is around the corner and the IKEA Soft Toys Drawing Competition has returned!

IKEA Malaysia is inviting children of IKEA Family members, småles members aged 12 years old and below to participate and submit their favourite drawings to the IKEA Soft Toys Drawing Competition – totally free-of-charge. Non-members are also eligible to participate by signing up as an IKEA Family member.

The drawing competition is running now until 17 November 2016 at IKEA Damansara and IKEA Cheras. Colouring materials and drawing papers are available at the Bug House, Ground Floor at IKEA stores, where participants can harness their imagination and creativity towards a good cause in store!

The Soft Toys Drawing Competition is an activity run by IKEA to support its global good cause initiatives through the IKEA Foundation. These partnerships with other like minded organisations are established to improve opportunities for underprivileged children globally.

Twenty drawing submissions will be chosen to represent Malaysia at the global IKEA Soft Toys Drawing Competition, joining other top twenty winners from countries around the world. Out of the hundreds of drawings, only ten drawings will be made into limited edition soft toys that will be sold at IKEA stores worldwide.

The competition is a chance for Malaysian children to see their imagination come to life as the drawings will be evaluated based on creativity, uniqueness and commercial potential before they are developed into actual soft toys.

During the inaugural the Soft Toys Drawing Competition in 2014, Malaysia’s very own Terrence Wan was selected as one of the top 10 winners and his creation was sold at IKEA stores worldwide. This year, the creation of Chutirada from Thailand will be produced and made available in all IKEA stores soon.

Signing up for IKEA Family and småles membership is easy and free for everyone. Head on over to a Family kiosk in any IKEA store to register or register online to enjoy more benefits and exclusive promotions. Parents can sign up their little ones as småles members at the Bug House, Ground Floor of any IKEA store. For more information on the IKEA Soft Toys Drawing Competition, visit the webpage here.
