Police have confirmed the death of former WWE wrestler Chyna at an apartment in Redondo Beach, California.
Her cause of death has yet to be confirmed, but investigators have ruled out foul play. According to the police, a friend went to check on Chyna at her apartment after she hadn’t answered her phone in days.
Chyna was on prescription medication for sleep deprivation and severe anxiety, but we do not know of that played a role in her death.
WWE Chairman expressed his condolences on Twitter: “I just heard the tragic news that @ChynaJoanLaurer has passed. She was truly a pioneer in our industry, and she will be missed. #RIPChyna.”
Chyna made her WWE debut in 1997 as Triple H’s side-kick, and went on to become a favourite superstar in the wrestling world from 1997 to 2001. Apart from wrestling, she also had a brief career in pornography and appeared in a couple of reality TV shows.
