The 5th Annual Kordel’s Charity Walk for Healthy Joints will create a great opportunity for the public to kick-start a healthier lifestyle.
Aiming to raise awareness of joint-related ailments such as arthritis, last year’s walk saw over 1,200 caring Malaysians put their best foot forward with a total amount of RM30,000 donated to Arthritis Foundation Malaysia.
“Kordels has always advocated a healthy lifestyle and in particular, healthy joints. We have been organizing the Charity Walk for five years and have witnessed tremendous support from the public for Arthritis Foundation Malaysia. As more and more people become aware of joint health (based on the degree of joint function and mobility) – we expect even greater numbers at 7a.m. come Sunday, September 2013 at Padang Merbok!” said Mr Ho Swee Lin, General Manager for Cambert Sdn Bhd, the distributor for Kordel’s health products.
Funds are raised through entry fees of RM30 per runner. Kordel’s will also donate RM1 from every Kordel’s promotional pack sold (from 1st July – 31th August 2013) to Arthritis Foundation Malaysia in conjunction with the return of this charity cause.
All proceeds from this charity walk will be donated to AFM to improve the welfare of Arthritis Fund recipients. Dr Amir Azlan Zain, President of AFM shared that the fund has so far benefitted 80 needy patients to undergo joint replacement surgeries.
