Alan Markovitz, a Detroit strip club entrepreneur erected a 12-foot-high bronze sculpture of a hand with its middle finger raised in the direction of his neighbor, who also happens to be his ex-wife, Lea Tuohy.
After purchasing the house right next to Tuohy’s in Orchard Lake, the giant sculpture was put up in his back porch and also has a spotlight aimed at it at night.
A person who seems to be the daughter of Markovitz’s ex-wife, named Lenka Tuohy, tweeted about the it saying, “How psychotic do you have to be to buy the house directly next to your ex wife and then put a statue up like that?!?! Real classy Alan.”
Markovitz was married to Tuohy for two years and claimed that she was cheating on him with someone he knew. After they split up, she reportedly moved in with the man. “I’m so over her,” Markovitz told Deadline Detroit.
Are we the only ones who think that he’s put in way too much work to get back at someone he’s totally “over” with? Oh, the irony!
When a friend tweeted that Alan’s gesture was making him “look like an idiot”, Lenka replied, “Like LOL someone’s not over my momma!”. Defending himself, Markovitz brought up the secret affair his ex-wife was having as his reason for putting up the massive $7,000 statue.
Alan Markovitz is currently residing in that home with his 17-year old daughter Tiffany and is a well-known character around Detroit. He began opening strip clubs on Detroit’s infamous Eight Mile in the 1980’s and has been involved in a series of oddly unfortunate events. Ever since he opened his first strip club, he’s been shot twice on the face, had a Mob contract out on his life, sued by exotic dancers and once had an ex-girlfriend drive her Pontiac Fiero through the front door of one of his clubs.
We think that he looks like a complete sleaze but this guy even has a book published about his adventures titled, Topless Prophet: The True Story of America’s Most Successful Gentleman’s Club Entrepreneur. Lately, he has also been involved with a reality show called Topless Prophet, which is set to air early next year.
