Stranger Helps Calm Woman’s Baby On The Plane

Anybody who has an infant or has traveled with an infant knows how frustrating that process can be and usually people will give you their stank face as soon as they see you board a plan with your infant.

Rebekka Garvison could definitely tell that her fellow passengers weren’t too pleased about having a baby on board when she boarded a 6am flight from Michigan to Chicago with her little bundle of joy, 4-month-old daughter Rylee. As she was struggling to get settled down in her seat, Rylee began to cry, which is when Garvison asked a flight attendant if she could switch seats where there were two side-by-side ones.

That’s when she found herself sitting next to her soon-to-be saviour on the plane, Nyfesha Miller.

Garvison said on Facebook: “… next thing I know I was sitting next to this amazing woman! I’m not sure if she could tell how stressed and upset I looked or what, but she turned our day completely around. Rylee wouldn’t stop crying no matter what I would try and do … so she had asked if I didn’t mind if she tried and of course I let her. As soon as she had her, Rylee was looking out the window and stopped crying. When we got in the air she fell right asleep and slept in her lap the whole flight until we got to our gate. She kept saying it wasn’t a problem at all and it was actually a comforting feeling for her.”

Miller, an actress who’s also a mother of three spends a lot of time travelling and saw the mother in distress. She quickly offered a lending hand and Rylee calmed down instantly and fell asleep in Miller’s arms for the entire flight.
