Vidal Sassoon is calling all Malaysians to ditch old conventional hairstyles and be bold to explore with the #GetSassooned movement. To launch its latest haircare range, Vidal Sassoon invited supermodel Amber Chia on a liberating journey of hair transformation. Amber who’ve always had long hair, gamely chopped off her locks in support of the #GetSassooned movement to reveal a fresh, short hairdo by Vidal Sassoon Academy trained celebrity hairstylist, Datin Winnie Loo.

Ushering in the New Year with a bold and edgy look, Amber Chia’s cut is a modernised version of Vidal Sassoon’s signature five-point-cut, the hairstyle which carved a name for the original salon genius.
“It’s amazing how liberated and free I feel with the weight off, the last time I had short hair was when I was five or six! When Vidal Sassoon contacted me to jumpstart the #GetSassooned movement, I was ecstatic because I’m definitely not one to stick with what’s comfortable and I like the idea of showing off your personal style,” said Amber Chia.
Datin Winnie Loo was at the event for a live haircut demonstration and to share her personal story of how the legendary hair maestro inspired her.
“The Vidal Sassoon experience taught me that hairstyling goes beyond giving someone a new look. It can mean bringing about a sense of liberation, changing lives, and allowing one the freedom to express themselves. Simply put, Vidal Sassoon’s legacy is a world where women are empowered and confident to choose their own style,” she said.
