For most couples, going on your honeymoon is something to look forward to because chances are it will most likely be a time of relaxation and bonding.
But that’s not the case with Mark and Ismini Svensson. They decided that instead of having a fancy wedding and honeymoon, they would help others and give back. So, they canceled everything that they had planned, got legally married in a courthouse and started their StayUNITED campaign.
Their mission was also a tribute to Ismini’s late father, Apostolos Karydis who was a civil engineer and philanthropist.
