Students Take Unusual Treks To Go To School

In most parts of the world, the new school year is starting. Some students are excited and others might be dreading it more than usual. In most parts of the world, all kids would have to do is jump into a car and get dropped off at the gates of their school. If that’s their situation, then they should consider themselves lucky because in some parts of the world, other kids have to take some of the most incomprehensible routes to get educated, which a lot of us often take for granted.

Progress in coming up with ways to connect children to school has really taken a back seat over the past 5 years, according to UNESCO. Sometimes the areas that are most suitable for children to take often flood, which of course makes it almost impossible for the kids. Due to dangerous routes, a lot of children has decided to give up school entirely.

You would think, ‘How hard can it be? Just build some roads and bridges. Buy buses and hire drivers.’ But due to lack of funds and also natural disasters, a lot of countries have it really hard when it comes to solving this problem. A problem that they desperately need to fix. Some of the pictures on this list (if not all) will shock you as these kids go through some insane extent when it comes to getting education.
