5 Ways To Stay Fit At Work

There are many reasons why your job may be making you fat so take charge, add these healthy habits to your to-do list and avoid putting those desk-bound pounds.

1. Pack A Huge Salad For Lunch

Opt for bringing a homemade salad every 3 days instead of eating out all the time. Low in calories and full of fibre, you can eat an enormous bowl of veggies without worrying about damaging your waistline. Include a variety of fresh greens along with low-fat protein source like cottage cheese or grilled chicken to avoid boredom. Also, don’t skip out on low-calorie dressings like balsamic vinaigrette. Stay in shape and save money by doing this.

2. Afternoon Sweat!

If you’re working near a gym, then hit it! Rather than sitting in the office all day long, take thirty minutes of your lunch break to walk around or to sweat it out at the gym. All it takes is 15 minutes on the treadmill to alleviate stress and to make you feel fresh. Bear in mind, sitting all day is dangerous for your overall health.

3. Avoid Snacking By Using Your Minty Breath

Head to the loo for some dental hygiene each time you’re done with a meal. Brushing or rinsing with mouth wash does more than just preventing cavities and bad breath, your minty breath will remind you that you already ate and aren’t really hungry for a handful of junk.

4. Stock Up The Fridge With Healthy Snacks

If you really have to snack, snack on the healthy stuff like yoghurt, cheese sticks, fruits, cup-up vegetables, crackers and more. This way you get to snack and avoid adding on excessive pounds.

5. Drink Lots Of Water

Stay hydrated and energised with water. Avoid fizzy and sweetened drinks. Keep a reusable water bottle on your desk and take sips throughout the day. Calorie-free, water also gives your belly the sensation that it’s full and it helps you detox.
