Betty White is a legendary American actress and comedian. She’s had a great career for over seven decades, and she’s a star that everybody wants to work with. She was best known for her role as Rose Nylund on the old television hit, The Golden Girls.

5. Betty was the first woman to receive an Emmy for hosting a game show.
6. Before acting, Betty worked as a model. Her first gig was at the Bliss Hayden Little Theatre.
7. Betty is an animal lover and an animal health advocate who works with a number of animal organizations, including the Los Angeles Zoo Commission, the Morris Animal Foundation, and Actors & Others for Animals.
8. Betty endorsed President Barack Obama in 2012 saying she “likes how he represents us”.
