Keds® is kicking off a global celebration marking its 100th year of style with the launch of an all-new spring 2016 footwear collection. The iconic blue label that has defined casual style for generations adds new dimensions of inspiration to a fresh and unexpected range of silhouettes and timeless classics that prove why Keds will always be a style leader. At the center is a new marquee line, The Blue Collection, which reimagines the brand’s trademark cobalt in bold new ways.
Curated collections take their cue from a variety of influences, including a nod to the brand’s American heritage, street style, twists of glitz, and super-bright lace-to-sole monochromatic looks. Unrestrained but refined takes on textiles like chambray, silk, linen, nylon, eyelet, perforated suede, mesh, and washed leather push the boundaries of Keds style covering sneakers, flats, slip-ons, and sandals.
Stand out new styles include the Champion Teacup Jelly, a modern take on ultra-flexible shoes with are movable footbed for the ultimate in comfort and all-day wear. Semi-transparent hues of pool blue, lilac, lime punch, and mandarin look downright juicy with a jelly-like sheen, available in flat options. The Triple, a newer sneaker silhouette with a substantial stacked sole, is featured heavily across all collections with iterations from sporty casual to dressed-up sequins. Collaborations include an all-new set of styles featuring signature spring florals from Liberty, the esteemed British print house.
“With each new season we have the opportunity to be both familiar but totally innovative, and the spring collection is all about evolving our style and giving our fans something totally fresh,” said Holly Curtis, design director, Keds. “Our woman doesn’t confine herself to just one look and mixing and matching is a must; we’ve been helping women define their personal style stories for the past 100 years, and we’ll continue to be there every step of the way.”
The spring collection ranges from RM139 – RM199, and will be available at selected Stadium, Studio R, Royal Sporting House and LAB outlets beginning January 2016.
