Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo’s Creative Director, looks to ballet for inspiration for the label’s Autumn Winter 2015 line. Spotlight is placed on the powerful emotions conveyed by a dancer’s body, the passion and elegance created by movement, and the confidence that produces an emotionally charged performance.
The driving force behind this line highlights the ballet slipper, embellished with buckles, fine leather ribbons, gold hardware and organza bows, as well as sensuous velvet contrasting against soft nappa leather. The colours of the season are also reflected in the collection, with ballet pink paired against moodier hues of teal, red, cinnamon, black and a gradient of pink hues to black python.
For Autumn Winter 2015, a new rounded toe is featured on various silhouettes on classic stiletto heeled pumps and shoe booties, finished in leather and a delicate velvet trim, adorned with a leather ribbon tied bow gently gracing the back of the ankle. On top of that, the velvet flats are designed delicately with en pointe inspired toes.
The light but powerful Autumn Winter 2015 collection by Jimmy Choo is now available at all Jimmy Choo boutiques around the country.
