For ages, so many things have been said about the female body, and we all know that half of what is being said is bullsh*t. I mean, apart from us being completely possessive, jealous, psychotic and confused creatures – the rest is obviously false.
There are many myths surrounding a woman’s body – some may sound factual, but really, there is no proof to back them up. And somehow, they just circulate on the internet – and now we have both men and women confused about the woman’s body. So, what better way to address those myth than to write about them. It’s a Thursday evening, and gurrrl, I know you just had your lunch and if you feel your eyes betraying you at work – I hope this article wakens you right up. So, without further ado, here are several myths about the woman’s body.

1. A Doctor Can Tell If A Woman Is A Virgin
What are we? Some sort of guinea pig that you can conduct virginity tests on? Puck no, bish! A doctor could use his high-tech medical device and flash his torchlight up your hole, but honey, a doctor simply can’t determine if a woman has lost her virginity, or if she is sexually active or inactive.
The logic (not so logical anymore) behind this myth is that if a woman has a hole or tear in her hymen, she is simply not a virgin anymore. But the truth is, whether a woman is a virgin or not, her hymen is still going to have a hole. And this hole alone isn’t an indicator that a woman is no longer a virgin.
2. Menopause Affects A Woman’s Sex Drive
One of the age-old myths about women is that once they reach menopause, there is an automatic nosedive in her sexual drive. Which is absolute nuts. A survey that was conducted in the US found that women who have reached menopause, as well as women in their 50s, have sex several times a month.
It was also proven through another study that there is no actual link between sexual drive and menopause. During menopause, however, a woman might find herself not in the mood every now and then – but it does not mean that her sexual drive has indeed weakened.
3. Antibiotics Can Make Birth Control Pills Unreliable
Another myth that I have often heard about is that antibiotics are able to make birth control pills unreliable. Uhm, says who, exactly? Birth control pills do fail about 1% of the time. And this is totes NOT caused by taking antibiotic pills. Most antibiotics do not disturb contraception and this is a 100% myth. Or at least 99.999%.
4. Pregnancy Is Impossible During Menstruation
Listen, it is unlikely that a woman is able to get pregnant during her menstruation – BUT, it is most definitely NOT impossible. Yes, it is possible – a woman can totes get preggo when she has sex during her period. Why? Cause, once sperm is inside a woman, that mother-pvcker can wait up to a week to fertilise her egg. Anything can happen during that waiting period.
So, ovulation can actually take place soon after or even during her bleeding phases. Bish, a sperm and an egg have a stronger bond than most us out here do with humans. So, yes, a woman can absolutely get pregnant if she decides to have sex during her menstruation cycle.
5. The Wandering Uterus By Plato
The Wandering Uterus has been a Greek theory that was created by Plato to find a “logical” explanation as to why women back then were often diagnosed with hysteria. Back then, people actually thought the uterus had a mind of its own, and was able to travel all throughout a woman’s body – “blocking passages, obstructing breathing and causing diseases”.
And this myth actually lived on for centuries, which caused women to develop the practice of vaginal steaming and what not, that actually brings harm to your p*$$y.
The Wandering Uterus? Really, Plato? I thought people back then were geniuses!
6. Rape Can Never Lead To Pregnancy
This is an insane myth that has been circulating for centuries. Writing in The Guardian, Vanessa Hedgie said that in Britain, the legal doctrine that pregnancy could render allegations of rape invalid dates back to the 13th century.
This nonsense appears to be related to the prehistoric, mindless belief that a woman needs to experience an orgasm in order to become pregnant. Therefore, if a lady was pregnant, it was assumed that she had been a consenting partner – even if it was a clear rape case. And this was a belief, as well as a practice of law, back in the 13th Century.
7. Women On Their Periods Are Poisonous
HAAAA! Bish, we’re poisonous nonetheless. But, seriously, though? Are you fvcking kidding me right now? Apparently, people back then had this weird belief that if they stood anywhere near a woman who is menstruating, it could cause their food to go terribly bad. Yup – apparently, women bleeding down there can magically rot an apple. A menstruating woman who is carrying canned fruits or vegetables is able to make those foods rot away.
If only we could make men rot away!
8. Sleeping With A Young Virgin Can Make An Old Man Stay Alive
This myth, in the 17th and 18th Centuries, led men to regard women as second-class citizens. This age old nonsense was a medical practice where old men were recommended to sleep with young and nubile women, so that the heat and moisture from the young girls would “magically” transfer to the old men, and apparently, he would get a few more years added to his life.
Might I say – this screams utter stupidity on so many levels!
