Signs Your Weight Has Zero To Do With You Being Healthy

If you want to determine whether or not you’re really healthy, getting on the weighing scale is not the way to do it. The way to determine if you’re in good shape or not is not just through your weight, there are also other signs that indicates you’re healthy. Here are some of them:

You can accomplish physical challenges – It doesn’t matter if it’s a 5km marathon or just running up and down the stairs. You can do it all without feeling like your lungs are about to explode from the inside.

You stop eating when you’re full: This is a major sign that you know what food does what for your body. If you know that you should eat when you’re hungry and stop when you’re full then you’re pretty healthy. It’s important to pay attention to your body half an hour after you eat, and two hours after you eat.

You don’t give yourself a hard time over the chocolate cake you just ate – This is a good sign that you’re not a binge-eater. Just because you don’t eat something sweet all the time does not mean you’re on a crazy diet. It just means that your body functions better with wholesome foods and you understand this.

You know your portion – You don’t feel bad having a second serving because you know you work out and you deserve that second bowl of chili con carne.

You actually like exercising – Anything that has to do with moving your body sounds good to you. This doesn’t mean you spend 2 hours in the gym and running on the treadmill. A quick 15-minute run around the park can be just as enjoyable to you.

You have good sleeping routine – You sleep at a reasonable hour and wake up early enough to still feel fresh. You always have enough sleep and it makes your body feel great.

You eat less processed food: When it comes to eating well, most people have an all-or-nothing approach even though they know that food plays quite a massive role in health. But just because you’re eating salad all the time doesn’t mean you’re healthy. The key to eating well is to eat lean protein like chicken breasts instead of sausages and opt for brown rice instead of white bread. Of course, add lots of veggies into that equation.
