Vogue’s new lingerie editorial shows women that pretty bras can come in all shapes and sizes, but the magazine also did something very refreshing: the editorial features five beautiful plus-size models.
The shoot follows after the news that Calvin Klein contracted size 10 model Myla Dalbesio as its new spokesperson.
Shot by Cass Bird, the editorial features popular plus-size models in the industry such as Ashley Graham, Danielle Redman, Inga Eiriksdottir, Julie Henderson and Marquita Pring.
In the fashion world, there are shifting definitions of what it means to be plus-size, increasing scrutiny over models who are way too skinny, as well as over-Photoshopped images. Hence, Vogue really did prove a point in this time of controversy.
Vogue makes no reference to the women’s size, and highlights the beauty of the bras instead.
