Thanks to 22 years of dancing, I’m glad that I have naturally toned legs to begin with. But what peeved me most is my flat butt and it’s something I need to work on.
On days where my personal trainer focus on legs and butt shaping workouts, we would head to the “Machines” area. I’ll admit that it is a little intimidating seeing all those spaceship-looking machines but with the right guidance and workout, trust me, you’ll get a butt and leg that would get you “wolf calls” from a mile away 🙂
My leg day workouts are documented below:
Repeat 3 sets
15 x Seated leg curl
15 x Sumo squat
Repeat 3 sets
15 x Glutes machine (each leg)
10 x Hip thrust squat
15 x Hip abduction
15 x Hip adduction
Repeat 3 sets
15 x Leg extensions
10 x Lunges
Repeat 3 sets
15 x Leg Press
10 x Squats
After the intense legs and butt exercise, I was surprised that I could still walk the next day! There are many misconceptions about legs and butt toning – many girls think that “But I don’t want a big butt!!!” or “Later I will have muscular legs! How?!” Well, it is almost impossible for a girl to have super masculine or muscular legs unless of course she’s taking some kind of steroids or drug. Or unless a girl has a lot of testosterone in her body.
Also, toned legs and butt are always sexier than flabby legs and a flat butt. As the saying goes “No songs were ever written about a FLAT BUTT!”.
