After the success of the first Viva Glam Rihanna, MAC Cosmetics released ‘Viva Glam Rihanna 2’ limited edition lipstick and tinted lipglass.
Lipstiq got the chance to review both the exclusive items from MAC and here is what we think:
The new Viva Glam Rihanna 2 lipstick boasts a cool mauve shade and despite thinking that it was too much of a strong colour, once I applied it onto my lips, it looked like it belonged there. It has a subtle shine and gold sparkle, which makes it perfect for pretty much every occasion, casual or formal. It personally lasted me for hours during the day and didn’t dry up my lips like a lot of lipsticks do. It also has a very creamy consistency, which I absolutely love.
Let’s move on to the other item, the very cool tinted lipglass. Now, I am not usually a fan of lip gloss because I don’t like the texture but MAC’s Viva Glam Rihanna 2 tinted lipglass was definitely wearable. The base of this lipglass is almost clear by has a sort of glittery gray tone to it. If you wear on its own, it will give an immediate cool shine to your lips but I think it’s also best to wear this with the Viva Glam Rihanna 2 lipstick for a more premium finish. The colour will definitely last for a good few hours, so you don’t have to worry about having to reapply every hour.
