Describe your personal style – I am particularly fond with the vintage and bohemian style, minimalism and all things that exude elegance. As I am a movie buff, I like to recreate the looks based on the films I’ve watched too. Sometimes I want to be like Mathilda from Léon: The Professional, then the next day I’d want to be Tilda Swinton for that androgynous look. But it really depends on my ever-changing mood because I want to be comfortable in what I wear and avoid being pretentious. I want to look like I am born to wear that outfit. Sometimes, I would wear my wide-brim hat or cap, rings set and bracelets to pair with my outfits too.
Look 3: Top – New Look, Shorts – Workshop @Siam Centre, Bangkok, Shoes – The Market, Bag – New Look, Necklace – H&M
Your thoughts on the fashion scene in KL – The fashion community here is not as big as those in fashion capitals such as UK or Korea but it’s definitely growing bigger. Sometimes the style can be quite repetitive and boring here as most of them just blindly follow fashion trends or don’t even bother to express themselves. I mean, I like it when people can play with prints and colour, even if the outfit is in black and white. However, I’m still glad to see that some people are trying to be express themselves through fashion and there are a lot of potential and talented designers here. I can’t wait to see more independent fashion brands that would create unique pieces so that I can buy them!
Look 4: Top – Naked & Co., Skirt – H&M, Bag – New Look
Your favourite places to shop – H&M, Zara, Pull & Bear and some online stores such as Runway Bandits and Zalora. I don’t shop a lot but when I do, I make sure I invest in quality pieces with some bohemian flair. Otherwise, I would just window shop a lot and put my favourite items on the wishlist tab.
