It’s 2014, and the royal monarch of the United Kingdom has expressed her disdain for one thing a lot of women around the world are fond of – Prince Harry’s beard.
According to sources, Queen Elizabeth reportedly informed Prince Harry that she “intensely dislikes” his ginger beard. Harry decided to sport the beard last month while on his ‘Walking with the Wounded’ charity trek to the South Pole. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton were apparently fond of Harry’s “Windsor Whiskers”, but his grandmother wasn’t.
A royal insider says: “The Queen soon let her displeasure be known. She doesn’t mind royal men growing beards when they are away in the Armed Forces or out in the wilds like Harry was in the Antarctic, but she expects them to be clean-shaven when they get home.
“Harry doesn’t like to upset the Queen and will probably shave it off soon but he is still a bit of a rebel and he wasn’t going to remove it straight away.”
We’ll be sad to see Harry’s whiskers go, but did you know that bearded men make better fathers?
