It was a happy ever after for Ben Nunery and his wife, Ali who got married in 2009. They bought a new house and took the opportunity to capture their wedding photos in their new home that was meant to be their future. Unfortunately, Ali was diagnosed with a very rare form of lung cancer and lost her battle two and a half years after the marriage. After her passing, Ben and his daughter, Olivia then lived in that home together.
Recently, Ali’s sister, Melanie Tracy Pace joined the father and daughter for one last photo shoot before they leave that home to say goodbye. The pictures from the photo shoot are absolutely touching, beautiful and some of them even shadow Ben and Ali’s original wedding photos.
When he wrote about the experience, Ben said:
“Many people have asked me how I felt while doing that photo session. What I want them to know is that this isn’t a story about grief and loss and hurt. Yes, I’ve gone through those emotions and still do but that’s not what I want people to see in these photos. This is a story about love.”

Ben learned how to play his and Ali’s wedding song, Stevie Wonder’s “I Believe (When I Fall In Love With You It Will Be Forever),” on the ukulele. Now, he plays it for his daughter.
