DIY Personalised Chinaware
Love the shabby chic look but want some of it cheap? This is just for you! All you will need are some plain white plates/ bowls/ mugs and sharpies of your colour choice. It is ridiculously easy and cost effective as you can use any cheap crockery you please and you will probably have some you can already make use of. First you have to decide what kind of design you want on your piece, you could draw a picture, write quotes, whatever you like. Once you are done place the piece in the oven to bake for half an hour. This will make the sharpie stay on for good and will ensure you no food poisoning!

DIY Record Bowls
Got some old vinyls you don’t know what to do with? Well the days of the gramophone are long gone so bring them back to life by making some cool homeware! All you need for this nifty transformation is an old record and some oven gloves to protect your hands and you are good to go.
Firstly you will want to put the record in the oven for a few minutes to let it heat up, but not too long! Once this is done and you take it out, the record will be flimsy and at a workable texture. Now you will want to start moulding the material in your hands, being sure to protect them with the oven gloves! If, like me, you are trying to make a usable bowl out of the record and dont just want to manipulate the shape, pushing it into an actual bowl is a good method of getting an on key shape. Another method is to submerse the record in boiling water, basically any way you can get it heated up without trashing it beyond craft.
There you’ve got it, a funky ornament which could be from any high-end houseware shop.
