Acne and pimple scars are possibly one of the biggest problems a lot of people face. Without proper skincare and zit removal, you may end up with a scar that will stay forever. Acne scars in particular, take time to form. As acne forms deeper in the skin, the wounds take more time to heal layer by layer, until the visible scar remains. Most anti-scar products you buy would do work that way and will treat the scar one at a time, but you may end up developing irritation from the list of chemicals found in the product. Natural options may take time, but using it consistently should help fade and blend away your scars.
Fortunately, you can use most of the ingredients found in your pantry or your supermarket. So on top of cutting down on your expenses, these treatments should give you great skin in no time!
1. Baking Soda
Baking soda, when mixed with liquid acts as one of nature’s best exfoliant. Combine one part baking soda and two parts water, and then use your fingers to apply the mixture to your scar and gently rub in a circular motion for a minute or two. Massaging the scarred tissues forces the skin to activate natural healing properties, helping the scar to fade.
2. Olive Oil
Olive oil comes with moisturizing nutrients and will go through the skin to deeply moisturize the skin, making the texture of the skin softer. Just after you exfoliate your skin with the baking soda scrub, continue the treatment by using a drop of olive oil and massaging it into your skin. The olive oil will not only moisturize, but it will also bring the skin’s natural elasticity back to help fade the scar away.
3. Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is a miracle juice! High in vitamin C, it can lighten your skin and fade dark acne scars. Clean the acne marks first with clean water then dab a cotton ball in a teaspoon of lemon juice and apply it over the acne mark. You can leave it there for a minute or two, depending on your skin’s level of sensitivity. However, be warned that lemon juice can make your skin photosensitive, so make sure you use sunscreen on any area you treat with lemon juice before going out into the sun.
4. Egg Whites
Egg whites are real troopers when it comes to drawing out impurities like dirt and oil from your skin, and tightening your pores too. Combining egg whites with the exfoliating and healing power of lemon juice, your can see your acne scars fade, and your skin lightened. Simply whisk egg whites with lemon juice (from a whole lemon) until it turns frothy. Clean your face with warm water first to open up pores and then spread the mask over with a masque brush. Wait for 20 minutes and then wash the mask off with warm water. Pat your skin gently to dry and repeat this treatment every week to see results.
