The make-up effects were so great that her family couldn’t recognize her when they visited her on set in New York.

In the movie ‘Shakespeare In Love’, Gwyneth Paltrow played her role as Viola de Lesseps, a young woman who wanted to being an actress on stage during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. As women was not allowed to appear on stage, she had disguised herself as a man to appear in William Shakespeare’s play ‘Romeo and Ethel, the Pirate’s Daughter’. Well, we got to say she still looks good while looking like a man!
3. Cate Blanchett
Cate Blanchett was portrayed as Bob Dylan for her role as Jude in the film ‘I’m Not There’. The film is about the ruminations on Bob Dylan’s life, where six characters embody a different aspect of the musician’s life and work. Cate disguised herself as Bob Dylan completely, by even imitating his signature hand gestures and so on.

Tilda Swinton is known for her androgynous look and in one of her films ‘Orlando, she was a young noble man who changed his sex into a woman. Similar to Cloud Atlas, the movie can be confusing but Tilda Swinton wasn’t the only one who is in drag as some other roles dressed themselves in the opposite sex as well.
