5 Tips to Achieve Your 2013 Fitness Goals

If you’re drafting out your New Year’s Resolutions, you’re most likely going to have something that involves weight-loss or fitness. We’re all human, and we do occasionally fall out from our plans, and it’s worst when we forget about it. Maintaining your fitness goals in 2013 doesn’t have to be a drag when we’ve got five help steps to keep you motivated and to stay on track of your 2013 fitness goals!

1. Think about what you want to succeed in 2013, not must-do’s. Be specific. Could it be that you want to rock a body con dress? Or hopefully not lose your breath after five minutes of running? Write does goals down and stick it on the fridge as a constant reminder.

2. Focus on what you can do now, today or this week. Put the “long term” goals aside and think about what you can achieve at present.

3. The best way to achieve your fitness goals is to get someone like a close friend involved. Each of you will be a source of inspiration or motivation to each other, and knowing that someone is counting on you will more likely keep you determined to attend those exercise classes.

4. Document and monitor your progress each month, or even daily if you work out daily. In a journal, set down your fitness goals, and even document what you eat each day. Seeing just what you gorge down each day will make you feel more inclined to change eating habits than just thinking about it.

5. Forget defeating your goals with your negative thoughts about how you’re not in the mood, and just do it. Exercise makes you feel confident about yourself and your body, and remember that 90% of your fitness goals will be a success if you just simply show up. At the same time, don’t be too hard yourself and complain how much you did not do. You’ve already done it, so cheer up and smile! Life is all about living, after all!
