Menard has launched two new products into the market. Yakuyou Shampoo and Yakuyou Ikumoueki (Hair Growth Tonic). This is the first time that Menard has branched out into hair products.
What is attractive about these two new products is that they use natural key ingredient which is, Great Mullein Extract. This is an extract that helps increase the number of origin hair cells – which is important because the origin hair cells is needed to produce hair.

Yakuyou Shampoo Z (300ml)
This shampoo cleanses excess sebum from the pores on the scalp and it also helps prevent dandruff and ensures that you have a healthy scalp.
It is also made to maintain hair volume with a non-greasy sensation. On top of all that, the shampoo has a light citrus sent which gives it a calming sensation.
The main ingredients: Piroctone Olamine – This is a compond that is used to treat fungus or dandruff.

Yakuyou Ikumoueki Z – Hair Growth Tonic (200ml)
The Hair growth tonic is used after you have towel-dry your hair. It is made to promote hair growth and gives your hair the nutritients that is needed for your hair to be strong and resilient. It is also used to help prevent hair loss or hair thining. This tonic also provides moisture and softness to the hair and it’s goal is the maintain volume without a greasy finish. It is also Fragrance free.
Main Ingedients : Swertia Japonica Extract, Pathothenyl Ethylether, Menthol .

I had the chance of trying out the new products – and it was a pretty satisfying experience. I have long curly hair, so at the end of a wash, my hair tends to get tangled up even more and becomes impossible to brush out. But when i used the Yakuyou Shampoo, that wasn’t a big issue any more. In fact, it was a little easier to brush out.
After the shampoo session – they towel dried my hair and then applied the Hair Growth Tonic – and the moment they did, it felt really refreshing. The tonic includes menthol, so there is a cooling effect that really is therapeutic. In that moment, i forgot about work and my list of things to do, and i just enjoyed that cooling sensation.
After using these products just once, i noticed that during that night and the next day, my hair loss had decreased. Which too much was pretty impressing because my hair will shed in buckets (in my perception of it at least) but yes, i was impressed with how immediate the results were.
