“Diana and I had been talking about doing Bodyguard 2. I told her I would take care of her just the same way that I took care of Whitney.”
Yes, that is Kevin Costner and he has a whole lot to say about the two fallen beauties, Princess Diana Spencer and Whitney Houston. The actor admitted in a new interview that he was keen for the late Princess of Wales to take on the romantic lead in the follow-up film.
“She let me know that her life might be changing at some point, so she was having her own internal struggles.”
According to Costner, he didn’t bring up the topic after her demise, rendering it pointless. However a reporter got wind of the news and confronted him, which led to his statements. He however added, the late mother of Britain’s future king did not confirm she would do it, she merely spoke about the prospect.
He went on to tell Anderson Cooper on his talk show while promoting his latest miniseries Hatfields & McCoys, about the tragic passing of his former co-star Whitney Houston, revealing he attempted to help her by writing the singer letters.
Whitney Houston and Costner were the stars in the blockbuster The Bodyguard and was back in the limelight after her passing. From the looks of it, he is milking it.
