Malaysia’s leading youth lifestyle, entertainment, celebrity and viral news website, Hype.my, turned 10 over the weekend – and it celebrated its birthday with a bang!
Hype.my has covered numerous celebrities, major events, and a wide range of lifestyle subjects over the last decade. It has continued to grow over the years – and now receives over 2 million visitors monthly. All the while, it never wavered from its commitment to providing readers with the greatest coverage possible.
As a symbol of their gratitude for their fans’ unwavering support, Hype.my threw a celebration and invited selected lucky readers to the GRAND party on Oct 14, 2022! Along with the fans, local influencers and celebrities as well as some prominent personalities also attended the birthday party. The event was held at the NZ Wheels-Mercedes Benz Showroom, Bangsar Telawi. Here’s what happened:
Energizing Performance
What’s a party without loud music and dance, right? That’s what the night was all about. On the dance floor, the Next Level Crew brought the house down by performing two jaw-dropping dances, including an intricate number to a BLACKPINK medley. Hype.my was also serenaded by singing star, ‘Oppa’ MeerNash, who wowed the audience with his performances of “Angel Baby”, “Kajima” and “Saranghae”.
But that’s not all, as the talented DJ Lady Cher had everyone dancing to midnight with a spin of her magic fingers. And to keep the ball running the entire night, emcee extraordinaire Kevin Chong kept the audience enraptured.
Amazing Prizes
When Hype.my said it was also giving away awesome prizes, it wasn’t kidding! Lucky fans struck big during the lucky draw and singing game, and took home the following prizes:

Pop-up Booth
Pop-up booths throughout the venue kept the party going. They included showcases by Tissot, vivo, Roku Gin, Heineken and the Thai Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP). Guests were spoiled by a free flow of gin, beer and sumptuous Thai finger-food throughout the event.
To make the night extra-memorable, Hype.my had set up several Instagrammable spots for guests to take amazing pictures in. It was indeed a fun-filled, eventful and unforgettable night for everyone!
