Here are some exquisite picks from Dia’s vacation collection:
Ania Knot Earrings by Talee Studio
“As we persevere through this season of constant change, we find ourselves in between moments of stillness, growth, loss, gratitude, love, and strength,” TALEE Studio founder Lorraine says. A plant growing in the corner, the sky getting brighter, or the shifting light at sunrise are just a few examples of the everyday sights that served as inspiration for the colours.
Banana Earrings by Envet
These handmade earrings are part of Envet’s Bee Collection. The collection was inspired by the brand founder’s father and the lush orchard he lovingly cares for. This accessory is a show-stopper thanks to the unusual pairing of bee charms and banana-shaped wiring. The overall effect is eye-catching and includes the hand-mounted enamel beads, which come in three different colours. In the bold style that has become Envet’s trademark, these handcrafted pieces honour nature. Each earring weighs only 15g in spite of its size!
Chiyoko Bag by Khoon Hooi
The chic Chiyoko Bag features a structured handle embellished with pearls and is inspired by Japanese knot bags. Four opulent prints are available for the handcrafted bag, which is made from recycled brocade fabrics. The Chiyoko Bag is perfect for parties, evening events, and drinks with friends because of its size and striking shape. It is surprisingly roomy and can accommodate all of your necessities for a night out, including your phone!
Lemon Fan by Pubumésu
The Lemon Fan gives your look a vibrant boost of vitamin C! Traditional shadow puppet artisans in Central Java handcrafted every intricate detail on this leather fan by hand. Each hole is manually punched, the leather is stretched and sun-dried, and each blade is hand-painted. This one-of-a-kind piece is perfect for special outdoor events and the ideal companion for a summer vacation! The Lemon Fan is part of Pubumésu’s Market Collection, which is inspired by the lush markets found across Southeast Asia.
Pinstripe Milly Corset by Lemon by ACK
The Milly Corset is made with preloved fabric and is a versatile piece that can take you from the boardroom (wear it beneath your favorite blazer) to the barroom (pairing it with jeans). These corsets were made in Malaysia at a facility run by Life2Life El Shaddai, a non-profit NGO that collaborates with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, using upcycled kimonos. Before sewing the garment, the production process starts with hand-picking the fabric of choice; the sewing process can take up to 8–10 days to complete. This item has a hook-and-eye closure down the entire front, 12 eyelets running the length of the back, and 4 eyelets on each strap, making it completely adjustable!
Hibiscus Minaudière by Neil Felipp
The national flower of Malaysia, the hibiscus, served as the inspiration for this exclusive series for Dia, which was produced in association with Neil Felipp. In the Philippines, the hibiscus is also referred to as gumamelas and is locally known as bunga raya. This evening clutch was handcrafted by talented artisans in Cebu, from the handmade golden bees to the intricately hand-painted flowers. These Hibiscus Minaudières are the only ones of their kind in existence, and this collection debuted at London Craft Week.
Chiasa Bag by Khoon Hooi
This chic bag is made by hand from recycled brocades and has a bento-inspired artistic fabric knot closure. It is available in a range of vibrant colours, matte and silky textures, and floral embroidery. Each one is spacious enough to hold your daily necessities despite appearing small on the outside! Even a folded shawl or small book will fit inside. Exclusive to Dia and the Datai Langkawi are the Chiasa in Botanico Sky, Coral, Suncup B, and Blue Hornet.
Bali Earrings by Envet
A stay-at-home mother in Yogyakarta created these handmade earrings in her living room. The earrings are designed to evoke the carefree feeling of being in paradise. The Evil Eye-inspired stud alludes to the symbol of protection, and the beads were carefully sourced in Bali. Each earring weighs only 10g in spite of its size. Choose from three striking colours to transform your look.
Sakura Minaudière by Neil Felipp
This ethereal minaudière features the hand-painted flowers and gold-plated brass bees of skilled Cebu artisans. The Sakura, a well-known flower in Japan that represents rebirth, served as the model for this artwork. The baby blue bouquets add a delicate touch to the minaudière’s smoky grey background. Do note that due to the artisanal nature of the product, there may be slight variations in colour or brush strokes.
Niloofer Necklace by Argent Studio 925
This is a limited edition piece from the Persepolis Collection and comes with a small hand-carved Jepara wooden chest from Java. The lotus, a beloved flower in ancient Persia, is referred to as “Niloofer” in Persian. The focal point of this accessory is a stunning turquoise stone encircled by meticulously handcrafted details.
