Power Root Berhad officially launched their newest beauty drink – Per’l Yuzu – last week. It combines the best facets of Korean culinary nutrition with Malay traditional herbs that have been trusted for generations.
Malaysians are familiar with the Per’l brand from Power Root, which is renowned for its range of beverages often made with Kacip Fatimah (a traditional Malay herb). The Per’l Yuzu drink is an incredible combination of Korean and Malaysian fruits and herbs; and contains the goodness of Yuzu combined with Kacip Fatimah and collagen.
“While most Malaysians are aware of the benefits of Kacip Fatimah and collagen in preserving women’s beauty and health, many are unfamiliar of the Yuzu fruit’s hidden benefits. In Malaysia, Kacip Fatimah is the queen of all traditional herbs, whereas, in Korea, Yuzu is the king of all fruits.
“In fact, a Yuzu fruit contains three times the vitamin C of a lemon and ten times the calcium of an apple. Even though Yuzu is farmed in China and Japan, the best Yuzu fruits are from Korea,” said Y.A.D Tengku Indera Pahlawan Diraja Tengku Dato’ Setia Putra Alhaj Bin Y.A.M Tengku Bendahara Azman Shah Alhaj, Co-Chairman of Power Root Berhad.
Power Root successfully produced Per’l Yuzu after conducting market research and analysis. It’s the newest addition to the Per’l line, which already includes the largest assortment of Kacip Fatimah-based drinks on the market.
Per’l Yuzu, according to Tengku Dato’ Setia Putra Alhaj, will appeal to all levels of Malaysian society, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or age, by catering to all their needs and tastes.

And to drive the message home to Malaysians, Power Root named K-pop singer and actor, Jang Han Byul, as the Per’l Yuzu brand ambassador. Han Byul is widely loved in Malaysia and frequently participates in local shows, particularly on Astro Ria. After winning the second season of the reality shows Big Stage with the Malay song Luka dan Bahagia in 2019, Han Byul’s fame began to shine brilliantly.
Han Byul will now front advertising and promotional activities for the drink, which is marketed under the slogan “The Power of You.” He also wrote the commercial jingle – Persona Kamu – which is his first Malay language single.
