Working out is super fun in this day and age. Aside from running, there are a ton of trendy classes including spin and HIIT. With that said, not all of us are able to squeeze in one hour every day of the week to exercise, which means that when we do decide to take up a class, we want to make the most out of it and scorch as many calories as we can. Hence, we’ve rounded up 10 workouts that burn the most calories for your reference. Work out hard, but also do it smart!

Bootcamp – This military-style workout is high intensity and burns up to 1,000 calories per class. It usually emphasises on functional full-body training and calorie burning by combining a series of exercises and other movements.

Boxing – There is a reason why boxing is so popular amongst models. You get to burn about 500 to 800 calories per hour, and you will have toned arms of steel.

Crossfit – A high-intensity but structured workout, crossfit trains the body and develops overall conditioning through a variety of exercises. It burns about 12 calories per minute, so you’re looking at about 700 calories per hour.

Spin – Who knew that spin class actually equates to a major burn? It burns about 500 to 700 calories per class at a minimum and that is so unassuming!

Zumba – Should you enjoy dancing and are able to follow after the steps, zumba is the way to go with 400 to 600 calories burned per sesh, provided you commit to it.

Hot yoga – Just because you sweat more, it doesn’t mean you’re shedding those calories. With that said, a 90-minute session in that scorching heat burns you about 350 calories. Not bad at all.

Vinyasa yoga – This really depends on the your movements and poses, but one hour of heart-pumping Vinyasa flow can help you lose at least 300 calories.

Bodyweight – These strength-training exercises do not require any equipments at all and burns about 200 to 400 calories per 30 minutes. Talk about being cost effective and practical.

Pilates – Involving low-impact flexibility, endurance movements and muscular strength, a proper pilates sesh highlights core strength, muscle balance and posture alignment, all while burning between 350 and 400 calories per hour.

Running – You’d either love or loathe cardio in this manner, but racking up that mileage really makes a difference. Every 1.6 km (one mile equivalent) burns nearly 100 calories. You do the math.
